BEREA: Controversial Browns defensive tackle Caleb Brantley declined to answer questions Friday about allegations he punched a woman in the face April 13 in Gainesville, Fla., or his thoughts about violence against women, but the sixth-round draft pick said he hopes his legal situation is resolved soon.
“I’m looking forward to the facts coming out and the truth about what happened that night,” Brantley said before the first practice of the team’s three-day rookie minicamp. “But I can’t really speak on the legal situation, so we’ll leave it at that.”
Brantley’s future with the Browns hinges on what the state attorney’s office in Gainesville determines is the truth.
