Browns quarterback Josh McCown will start against the Arizona Cardinals beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium despite the injured right shoulder he suffered last week in a 24-6 loss to the St. Louis Rams.
All signs pointed to McCown starting, even though he entered the weekend listed as questionable to play in the game. He sat out practice Wednesday but participated on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.
Johnny Manziel will serve as McCown's backup while an NFL investigation into whether he violated the league's personal conduct policy during an Oct. 12 fight with girlfriend Colleen Crowley continues to hang over his head.
