Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel maintained his momentum Friday during the Orange & Brown Scrimmage and continued to write the opening chapter to what he hopes becomes a remarkable comeback story.
Manziel stole the show in front of 49,734 fans at Ohio Stadium by completing 9-of-11 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns during 11-on-11 periods in the team's intrasquad scrimmage.
It's another positive step for Manziel, who endured a disastrous rookie season last year and spent more than 10 weeks this offseason in an inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
"I wouldn't make a huge deal about it, but it's progress for me," said Manziel, who worked exclusively with the second-team offense during the scrimmage.
