With all the injuries the Browns have endured this season at the game’s most important position, it’s not even the least bit surprising when they shuffle quarterbacks like they did Tuesday.
The Browns promoted rookie quarterback Kevin Hogan from their practice squad to the active roster and terminated the contract of veteran quarterback Charlie Whitehurst with an injury settlement after his left knee hyper-extended late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 33-13 loss to the New England Patriots.
The Browns (0-5) are expected to start veteran Josh McCown or rookie Cody Kessler at quarterback Sunday on the road against the Tennessee Titans (2-3).
