The Cleveland Browns added linebacker Montrel Meander to the active roster on Wednesday as the club prepares for the home opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.
The move comes in the wake of Wednesday’s injury report where the Browns ruled out linebacker Jacob Phillips, who suffered a knee injury in the Week 1 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, and linebacker Mack Wilson, who will miss his second consecutive game while recovering from a hyperextended knee injury in training camp.
The 6-foot-2 and 215-pound Meander has been around the Browns since 2018 after the team signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State.
