CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Tank Carder was in a battle to start at middle linebacker for the Browns this season. Now, his season is over.
The Browns placed Carder on injured reserve, the team announced on Wednesday, a day after head coach Hue Jackson said Carder sustained an ACL injury.
"We all know Tank has been a great teammate and has worked really hard for the opportunity that was in front of him," Jackson said. "He will be missed, no question."
The Browns also waived Justin Currie with an injury designation. Currie had turned some heads in camp and was fighting for a roster spot, but he injured his ankle in Monday night's game.
