The Cleveland Browns are just days away from reporting for training camp. While fans and media primarily focus on the upcoming season, GM Andrew Berry has an eye to the future as well. Kicker Dustin Hopkins was set to hit free agency before an extension was reportedly reached. Whether fans think it was a good deal, stabilizing the kicker spot is helpful.
Getting Hopkins’ deal done brings into focus all the other Browns players set to hit free agency at the end of the year. WR Amari Cooper sat out mandatory minicamp trying to get a new deal but he’s far from the only important pending free agent among key contributors:
- WR Amari Cooper
- LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
- OL Jedrick Wills
- RB Nick Chubb
- WR Elijah Moore
- TE Jordan Akins
- OL James Hudson III
- LB Tony Fields II
- S D’Anthony Bell (restricted)
There are also a number of players who joined or returned to the team on one-year deals that will be back on the market in 2025:
- QB Jameis Winston
- DL Quinton Jefferson
- DL Maurice Hurst
- LB Devin Bush
- RB Nyheim Hines
- S Rodney McLeod (has stated he will retire after the season)
- WR Justin Hardee
- QB Tyler Huntley
- OL Michael Dunn
- RB D’Onta Foreman
- OL Germain Ifedi
- OL Hakeem Adeniji
- CB Tony Brown
- OL Brian Allen
- FB/TE Giovanni Ricci
There are a few other players that are on the roster bubble or unlikely to make the team that can hit free agency but most are restricted or exclusive rights free agents.
