Improvements for local fans will highlight Cleveland Browns training camp, which begins July 27 at the team's facility in Berea and will have 15 open practices -- including an intrasquad scrimmage Aug. 4 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The improvements will be significant and noticeable. They come after the Browns had a serious flirtation with Columbus about moving camp there. Instead, the team recommitted to remaining in Berea, and followed up by reconfiguring fields to allow better fan access, and by adding a shaded 1,250-seat grandstand where fans can get a better view of the team practices.
Camp is one chance for fans to get up close and personal with the team and players.
