Browns notebook: Rookie Cameron Erving says he loves learning multiple spots on O-line: ‘I do best when I’m challenged’

BEREA: Browns rookie offensive lineman Cameron Erving conceded learning multiple positions while transitioning to the NFL is most demanding workload he has ever taken on as a football player.

“But I love it. I love the process, every moment of it,” Erving said Wednesday after the second practice of mandatory minicamp. “I don’t really think of it in a negative way.”

The 19th overall pick in this year’s draft, Erving has lined up at right guard, right tackle and left tackle in spring practices. Theoretically, he could progress faster if he were to focus on one position, but he doesn’t necessarily agree.
