BEREA: Browns starting quarterback Robert Griffin III fell four times in 11 plays during Friday’s 17-11 preseason-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers.
That’s not ideal for any quarterback, let alone one who’s suffered two torn anterior cruciate ligaments and a torn lateral collateral ligament in his right knee, a dislocated right ankle and a concussion.
“I’m not worried about [taking those hits],” Griffin said Monday before the 13th practice of training camp. “I trust the guys in front of me. ... Those guys are going to protect me as a quarterback. We’re going to lean on them in the running game and the passing game to make us right.
