Browns notebook: Parma Heights native Jamie Meder hopes to keep his dream job beyond this weekend

CHICAGO: Jamie Meder is living his childhood fantasy by playing for the Browns.

The long-bearded nose tackle from Parma Heights just hopes the dream continues after cuts are made this weekend.

All NFL teams must trim their rosters from 75 to 53 players before 4 p.m. Saturday.

“It is always in the back of my mind,” said Meder, a graduate of Valley Forge High School and Ashland University. “I always try to put my best foot forward, just hard work. And if it happens, it happens.”

Meder started when the Browns faced the Chicago Bears in the preseason finale Thursday night at Soldier Field.
