CLEVELAND: The Ray Rice-to-the-Browns speculation continues.
In a recent interview, Browns quarterback Josh McCown said he believes the free-agent running back would be welcomed in the locker room if the organization signs him a year after Rice viciously punched his fiancée-turned-wife in an Atlantic City casino elevator.
The NFL indefinitely suspended Rice and the Baltimore Ravens cut the former three-time Pro Bowler after video footage of his attack became public.
Rice has been out of work ever since, and Browns running backs coach Wilbert Montgomery publicly called out his players Aug. 9 because, he said, he believes none of them has shown a desire to win the starting job.
