BEREA: Browns outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo missed practice Wednesday because he’s dealing with a knee injury, a source familiar with the situation told the Beacon Journal.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the Browns had yet to disclose the nature of Mingo’s injury. The team later confirmed he has an injured knee.
Mingo’s knee felt structurally sound in a medical exam, but he’ll also undergo an MRI to get a definitive answer about whether there’s any significant damage, the source said.
Browns coach Mike Pettine declined to reveal the specifics of Mingo’s injury Wednesday but said he would provide an update about his status Thursday.
