BEREA: Coach Hue Jackson has publicly vowed three times to eventually win a Super Bowl with the Browns, but he made a much different guarantee Tuesday.
“Somehow, someway, we are going to find a way not to be 0-16,” Jackson said as the Browns (0-9) prepared to visit the Baltimore Ravens (4-4) on Thursday night.
Jackson volunteered the comment unsolicited. After Sunday’s 35-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, inside linebacker Chris Kirksey became the first member of the Browns to say “we’re not going to go 0-16.”
In the middle of a long answer about preventing negativity from infiltrating the team, Jackson said, “I will comment on what Kirksey said, and I support him 100 percent.
