Browns No. 1 overall draft pick Myles Garrett is sitting out practice Thursday as he's still being evaluated at team headquarters in Berea after suffering an injured left foot Wednesday during mandatory minicamp, a team spokesman said.
The Browns consider it a good sign that Garrett walked off the field Wednesday, meaning they probably don't think the rookie defensive end suffered the dreaded Lisfranc injury.
Guards Joel Bitonio and John Greco suffered Lisfranc injuries last season. The injury requires surgery and typically sidelines NFL players for 10-12 months.
Garrett was hurt late in practice Wednesday as he ran toward quarterback Brock Osweiler for a virtual sack during an 11-on-11 drill.
