Browns matchup: Can a spy stop Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s unprecendented four-game roll?

BEREA: When Browns defensive end Desmond Bryant worked out at the same facility with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in 2014, he couldn’t believe the way Wilson pushed himself in seven-on-seven drills.

To hear Bryant tell it, it sounds like Wilson could hold his own training with legendary receiver Jerry Rice.

“He would throw the ball, run so many yards downfield, then sprint back to the huddle,” Bryant recalled Thursday of what he saw at EXOS in Carson, Calif. “These are off-season workouts with NFL vets and nobody else is doing that. It was like he was getting a cardio workout and all the mental reps as well.
