On Monday, the Cleveland Browns made quick work to promote K Cody Parkey from their practice squad to the 53-man roster, in preparation for the team’s Thursday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In the obvious corresponding move, that means the Browns have waived K Austin Seibert, who was a fifth round pick in 2019 and the kicker all of last season.
The Browns expressed confidence in Seibert throughout all of training camp, to the point where they didn’t even have another kicker in camp.
