That sound in the background as the Philadelphia Eagles announced the Sam Bradford trade came from Berea, Ohio, where a bunch of folks in the the Cleveland Browns' offices exchanged high fives.
Suddenly the Browns' trade with the Eagles just before the 2016 draft looks that much better.
In that deal, the Browns sent the No. 2 overall pick to the Eagles for several draft picks, including Philadelphia's first-round pick in 2017.
Saturday, the Eagles traded their starting quarterback, Bradford, to Minnesota.
That deal not only makes the Browns more competitive in the opener, it weakens the Eagles, at least in the short-term.
