The name of the game in the NFL is generally youth. Outside of a few key positions (quarterback and offensive line in particular), younger players are generally seen with more value than older ones. A nice balance on a roster or a few key players over 30 is fine but players with less wear and tear on their bodies and, generally, quicker and faster are the priority.
For teams that believe they are in their Super Bowl window, including the Cleveland Browns, age isn’t as important.
