Browns GM: Job no less secure than day of hire

BEREA, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer said Tuesday he does not believe his job security is any more tenuous than it was upon his hire in February 2014.

"The reality is that my seat's no warmer than it was the day I got it," Farmer said. "That's a perception that everybody has for me, and not a perception I have of myself."

Farmer added he will continue to "work hard and try to bring talent to the Browns" until he's told otherwise.

The Browns, off to a 2-6 start this season, began Farmer's tenure 7-4 before ending the 2014 season with five straight losses.
