BEREA: The Browns pulled the plug on the Terrelle Pryor experiment before it really ever started, waiving the former Ohio State University standout Thursday during the infancy of his transition from quarterback to wide receiver.
But perhaps the most surprising aspect of the move is the player who took Pryor’s spot on the 53-man roster isn’t going to be healthy enough to play for a few weeks.
The Browns claimed running back Robert Turbin off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks and cut Pryor to make room for him.
Isaiah Crowell and rookie Duke Johnson were the only running backs on the active roster before the move, so adding to the position made perfect sense.
