As the Cleveland Browns prepare to travel to the NFL Scouting Combine next week, they received some excellent news from the league today. The NFL announced a significant increase in the salary cap for the 2025 season.
According to a memo sent to teams, the expected cap is going to fall somewhere between $277.5m and $281.5m. That is a substantial jump from the $255.4m from last season and more than was expected. The Browns are also expected to have some rollover cap space for next year.
The expectation that the salary cap would rise has informed GM Andrew Berry’s contract structures throughout his time.
