Seeking a new head coach after firing Mike Pettine this past weekend, the Browns confirmed they kicked off their interviews by meeting with Gase on Wednesday.
They tried to interview Gase in 2014 before he removed himself from consideration to focus on a Super Bowl run with the Denver Broncos. The Browns eventually hired Pettine, whose record of 10-22 in two seasons contributed to him and General Manager Ray Farmer being terminated Sunday.
So the Browns are pursuing Gase again, but will another team land him?
NFL Network reported the Philadelphia Eagles have interviewed Gase and plan to meet with him again this weekend.
