The Browns have exercised the fifth-year option on safety , whom they acquired in a trade with the Green Bay Packers last month.
Randall, the 30th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, is expected to give Cleveland’s secondary a boost after finishing second-to-last in interceptions last season.
Browns coach Hue Jackson has said Randall will play free safety — his original position at Arizona State — after mostly playing cornerback in three seasons with the Packers. General manager John Dorsey added he was a fan of Randall in college.
"I thought he was a really good football player," Dorsey said last month.
