The Cleveland Browns made a pair of roster moves on Saturday morning that could provide some foreshadowing on the team’s injury issues.
The club promoted offensive tackle Alex Taylor and tight end Kyle Markway from the practice squad as the team makes its final preparations for Sunday’s playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The moves appear to be in direct response to the injury status of starting right tackle Jack Conklin, and tight ends David Njoku and Stephen Carlson.
Conklin did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and was a limited participant in Friday’s practice, while dealing with a hamstring injury he suffered in the second quarter of last week’s Wild Card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
