The Browns are officially off the hook for Hard Knocks.
The Houston Texans will be featured on the hit HBO documentary series that chronicles a team’s training camp and preseason each summer, ESPN.com and the Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday.
The Browns met with Hard Knocks producers in March at the NFL owners meetings and made it clear they wanted no part of the show this year partly because the organization hopes to shield quarterback Johnny Manziel from further scrutiny after he spent more than 10 weeks this offseason in an inpatient rehabilitation facility specializing in alcohol and drug addiction treatment.
