Browns defensive end Armonty Bryant pleads guilty to attempted drug possession; NFL to review under its policies

Browns defensive end Armonty Bryant pleaded guilty Wednesday to a reduced charge stemming from a traffic stop on Christmas morning, but he isn’t out of hot water with the NFL.

Bryant pleaded guilty to attempted drug possession, a first-degree misdemeanor, in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, according to court records. The charge was amended after Bryant was indicted in February on two counts of felony drug possession and pleaded not guilty.

Bryant, 26, has already been suspended for the first four regular-season games of 2016 for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs and faces additional discipline.
