Browns conduct second coaching interview with Hue Jackson, but his plan to meet with Giants means he could slip away

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam skipped the NFL owners meetings Tuesday in Houston so he could spend his time courting Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson instead.

The Browns confirmed they completed a second interview with Jackson for their head-coaching vacancy on Tuesday. Their first interview with him lasted about 3½ hours Sunday in Cincinnati.

They have yet to offer him the job, but that doesn’t mean they won’t. They’ve been seeking a head coach since Haslam fired Mike Pettine on Jan. 3 along with General Manager Ray Farmer.

Jackson, though, could slip away.

He plans to interview with the New York Giants on Wednesday or Thursday in New York, according to ESPN.
