Browns' Cody Kessler, Josh McCown and Kevin Hogan are all possibilities to start against the Jets

CLEVELAND, Ohio - At the rate the Browns are going, newly-acquired rookie quarterback Joe Callahan will be the seventh player to throw a pass for the Browns this season on Sunday against the Jets.

As it is, Hue Jackson is at the mercy of the medical staff when it comes to who will start.

Cody Kessler is in the concussion protocol after being hit midway through the second quarter of Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Bengals, and Josh McCown is awaiting clearance from the doctors on his broken left collarbone.

McCown, who suffered the injury in week two against the Ravens, has been throwing the ball well in practice the past two weeks, but must be ready to absorb a hit.
