Browns coach Hue Jackson sticks with plan to call plays, completes offensive coaching staff, welcomes DC Ray Horton

New Browns coach Hue Jackson is going to stick with what got him here.

Jackson has said all along he was inclined to call the offense’s plays. He solidified that plan Friday while formally announcing he has completed his offensive and special teams coaching staffs in addition to hiring defensive coordinator Ray Horton.

“I have made the decision to call plays,” Jackson, the offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals the past two seasons, said in a news release. “I think I have to start that way for our team. When you take these jobs, you get them for a reason.
