Browns coach Hue Jackson hell-bent on preventing his team from splintering: ‘I am going to be the calming voice’

Browns coach Hue Jackson realizes the only prayer he has to avoid a winless season is to ensure his players stick together through the final five games.

“We know that is the only way success will come,” he said Monday during a conference call. “We have to continue to work hard. We have to continue to have each other’s backs. That will bring us the success. When that is going to happen, I don’t have that crystal ball, but I know it is going to happen.”

So Jackson spoke to wide receiver Terrelle Pryor and left tackle Joe Thomas about the critical comments they made while venting Sunday after the team fell to 0-11 with a 24-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
