The Cleveland Browns claimed tight end Kyle Markway off of waivers on Wednesday.
Markway had been in training camp with the Los Angeles Rams, but was waived on Tuesday.
To make room for Markway on the roster, the Browns released defensive end Romeo McKnight, who Cleveland had signed as an undrafted free agent in May.
If Markway’s name sounds familiar, it is because he spent 11 weeks of the 2020 season on Cleveland’s practice squad before being promoted to the active roster, but not playing, for the team’s playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
