Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey was a busy man on Wednesday.
Just a few hours after the unexpected signing of wide receiver Braxton Miller, Dorsey was back at it as the Browns claimed safety Montrel Meander off waivers from the New York Jets, who released Meander on Tuesday after signing former Cleveland defensive back Derrick Kindred.
In a corresponding transaction, Cleveland placed wide receiver D.J. Montgomery on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
This is Meander’s second time with the Browns as he was originally signed by the team in 2018 as an undrafted free agent.
