CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A busy Friday for the Browns that involved signing two rookies also included a waiver claim. The team claimed offensive lineman Chris Barker from New England. Defensive lineman Gabe Wright was waived to make room.
Barker, 6-foot-2, 305 pounds, originally signed as an undrafted free agent with Miami in 2013 out of Nevada and is officially in his second season. He has appeared in six regular season games in his career, all of them while with the Patriots. He was on New England's practice squad all of last season.
Wright appeared in five games for the Browns last season, recording four tackles.
