The Browns have parted ways with player personnel associate Jon Sandusky, a person familiar with the situation confirmed Monday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team didn't formally announce the move.
Sandusky's contract recently expired, and the Browns decided not to renew it.
The former right-hand man of ex-Browns General Manager Tom Heckert, Sandusky spent five seasons with the organization, including the first four as director of player personnel. Browns GM Ray Farmer demoted Sandusky in June 2014, when he hired Morocco Brown as vice president of player personnel.
Before joining the Browns in 2010, Sandusky spent nine seasons working in the personnel department of the Philadelphia Eagles.
