BEREA, Ohio -- Caleb Brantley took the field for the first day of Browns' rookie minicamp Friday with the specter of a possible misdemeanor battery charge hanging over his head and an axe to grind.
"There's definitely a chip on my shoulder,'' he said before practice. "I'm just going to go out and prove everybody wrong who said bad things about me, said I have character issues and all of that. But I ain't really worried about it, just ready to move on.''
Brantley's lawyer, Amy Osteryoung, reiterated to cleveland.com Friday that she expects the case to be resolved soon, and in her client's favor.
