The Cleveland Browns have a .01% of making the playoffs this year. Yes, they are out of it despite six games remaining on the schedule. And just like the Island of Misfit Toys, they are looking to next year for what they missed this season.
Players on the roster still have something to play for. For one, their jobs. An athlete who doesn’t play well in the final six games just might be released once the season is over. Or if they are in the final year of their contract, maybe they find the waiver wire as their new home and go through the process of finding employment elsewhere.
