BEREA: The Browns aren’t whining and crying about getting a raw deal this past Sunday in San Diego, but they clearly believe veteran cornerback Tramon Williams was not offside during the Chargers’ first game-winning, field-goal attempt, meaning they think the two teams should have gone to overtime.
With the score tied, Chargers rookie kicker Josh Lambo lined up for a 39-yard field goal. Williams rushed into the backfield to Lambo’s left and attempted to block the kick. Lambo’s try missed wide right, prompting several Browns players to celebrate until they saw the yellow flag on the field.
Williams received an offside penalty, so Lambo was given a second chance.
