The Cleveland Browns are just a few hours away from putting the 2024 NFL offseason behind them and starting the 2024 NFL season. With the early games Sunday about to kick off, we are going to spend a few minutes putting closure to one of the biggest (non-)stories of the offseason.
For weeks, the Cleveland Browns pursued a trade for WR Brandon Aiyuk. The rumors flew around including that the Browns offered WR Amari Cooper, a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick for the younger receiver.
In the end, Aiyuk didn’t want to come to Cleveland and pulled the plug on trade talks between the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers to sign a big deal to remain in the Bay Area.
