Browns All-Pro Joe Thomas suffers leg injury; Mike Pettine says it's not believed to be serious

"I don’t think it’s anything serious," coach Mike Pettine said of the injury after the 10th full-squad practice of training camp.

The organization's medical staff tested Thomas after practice.

"Yeah, normal," Pettine said. "Just getting checked."

Rookie nose tackle Danny Shelton appeared to inadvertently rolled up on Thomas' right leg while he was engaged with defensive end Desmond Bryant during an 11-on-11 drill. Thomas fell to the ground and immediately yelled, then rose to his feet and walked off the field.

Head athletic trainer Joe Sheehan examined Thomas' right ankle and knee for a few minutes off to the side.
