The Browns and defensive end Desmond Bryant have agreed to a renegotiated contract, a source familiar with the situation confirmed.
Bryant suffered a season-ending torn pectoral muscle while working out on his own in July before the Browns reported to training camp. The Browns weren't required to pay him this year because he's on the non-football injury list, but Bryant hired agent Drew Rosenhaus to negotiate a compromise, and one has been reached.
The Browns agreed to pay Bryant $1.25 million this year, the source confirmed. He had been scheduled to make $6 million in 2016 under the original contract.
