On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns signed WR Josh Boyce to their practice squad, filling the spot vacated when DL Gabe Wright was signed to the 53-man roster.
The Browns first touched base with Boyce back in mid-August, when the signed him to their training camp roster. He was a high school teammate of QB Robert Griffin III and a fourth-round pick by the Patriots in 2013.
Boyce played for Cleveland in the third preseason game, but did not survive the cutdown to 75 players. There are now two receivers on the practice squad, with the other being WR Darius Jennings.
