Browns add Eliot Wolf to the rebuilt front office

The rebuilding of the Cleveland Browns front office rolled along Wednesday as the team hired Eliot Wolf as assistant general manager.

The Browns also confirmed the hiring of Alonzo Highsmith as vice president of football operations.

The moves were announced on the team’s website.

Wolf was in high demand after being passed over for the general manager’s job with the Green Bay Packers. He was scheduled to meet with the Oakland Raiders for a position in their front office, but the Browns were able to seal the deal before that could occur.

Of course, the last time the Browns got their man before another team could swoop in was when they convinced head coach Hue Jackson to skip his interview with the New York Giants, and we all know how well that has turned out.
