CLEVELAND, Ohio -- As expected, Browns fourth-round cornerback Howard Wilson will start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list with his broken kneecap.
Wilson, the Browns fourth-round pick out of Houston, may or may not need surgery on the knee. He broke it on the first day of rookie camp in a non-contact situation.
"So first time you get a shot of playing in the NFL, with the NFL players, I get hurt," Wilson told cleveland.com last month. "It's a bummer. It brought me down a little bit."
But Wilson, who's on the active PUP list for now and is still eligible to return at some point this season, has received plenty of encouragement from his teammates.
