On Saturday, Browns HC Hue Jackson announced that fourth-round CB Howard Wilson will be out a “significant” amount of time after he sustained a fractured patella during minicamp, per Mary Kay Cabot.
Jackson added that Wilson’s injury may require surgery, but they’re hoping it’s not a season-ending issue for him.
Howard was selected with the No. 126 overall pick by the Browns in this year’s draft. Cleveland actually traded up in round four to get Wilson.
During his college career at Houston, Wilson recorded 107 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, nine interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, 15 pass defenses and two fumble recoveries over the course of three seasons and 27 total games.
