Browns starting quarterback Josh McCown said his injured ribs are more sore Tuesday than they were the previous days and he's having difficulty sleeping and breathing.
"When you're dealing with ribs, breathing and stuff like that, yeah, sleeping is not the easiest thing," McCown said Tuesday afternoon.
McCown and coach Mike Pettine have declined to comment on whether the ribs are broken. McCown underwent X-rays on the ribs after Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
If McCown can't play when the Browns (2-6) visit the Cincinnati Bengals (7-0) on Thursday night at Paul Brown Stadium, backup quarterback Johnny Manziel would start.
