Bills 11, Browns 10: McCown struggles, Manziel flashes potential in second preseason game

CLEVELAND: The running game looked better, the starting defense had some impressive moments in bend-but-don’t-break mode and backup quarterback Johnny Manziel flashed some of his potential.

But not everything went well for the Browns in an 11-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Most notably, some of projected starting quarterback Josh McCown’s warts were exposed during the second preseason game for both teams Thursday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

McCown played three series before Manziel relieved him to start the second half. The 22nd overall pick in last year’s draft, Manziel didn’t do much until leading a touchdown drive early in the fourth quarter.
