The misdemeanor battery case against Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Caleb Brantley has been dismissed, according to Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times.
- Brantley, who was selected in the sixth round out of Florida, was PFF’s No. 3 interior defensive lineman entering the 2017 NFL Draft.
- His pass-rushing productivity rating of 11.7 was tied for fourth among this year’s drafted interior defenders, while his run-stop percentage of 11.3 was fifth.
- Brantley’s ability to get after the quarterback will provide a boost to a Cleveland defense that didn’t have a player earn a pass-rushing grade higher than 72.
