ASHLAND, Ohio -- "Adam and his father were sitting right here, at this table."
That's what Ashland University football coach Lee Owens said Monday.
We were in his office, which is worthy of a Division I football coach. A huge window overlooked Jack Miller Stadium, a wonderful, 6,000-seat venue opened in 2009. Think of a smaller version of Akron's InfoCision Stadium.
Owens was talking about Adam Shaheen, perhaps the most unlikely player invited to the 2017 NFL Combine.
"I'd like to say I was smart of enough to see this coming," said Owens.
