The Cleveland Browns released an official statement on Wednesday about the ongoing stadium debate that was as close to saying “We are building a domed stadium in Brook Park” without actually saying it.
Less than a week after Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb went public with the city’s $461 million proposal to renovate Cleveland Browns Stadium, the Browns answered back with “A Letter to Cleveland Browns fans across Northeast Ohio and beyond” released on the team website.
The letter from David Jenkins, chief operating officer of Haslam Sports Group, referenced the city’s proposal and stated that the organization believes it is an “appropriate time for us to communicate directly and share an update on our stadium process.
